Board of Directors letter to owners

On Thursday, 11/29/07 I posted a copy of the letter that is going out to the owners with the annual billing. PLease go to the presidents letter to read this. If you would like to comment on it please feel free to do so on this blog or call me directly.

On another subject I think that I have come up with a solution to the housekeeping problem. I have suggested to , and master Corp has accepted, the idea to bring people in from Ashville and the surrounding areas by van each Friday thru Sunday. They then clean the units and go back home. We repeat the process every week-end. Hopefully this will give them a better labor pool and not held hostage by the local workers who think we cannot do without them.

Foxhunt Budget Meeting

Good Morning,

Well last week your board spent 2.5 days in meetings working on many items that needed attention at Foxhunt. This included such things as completion on renovations; new voting proceedures; the 2008 budget, etc.

I should have the minutes of the meeting very soon and will pass along the pertainent information as soon as I do. I would try and give you full details now but I want to make sure that I do not miss anything and therefore would prefer to wait until that time.

With that said I will give you one piece of advanced information and that is that we approved the installation of the new phone syetem (from our existing co.) which will aloow unlimited calling in N. America; high speed internet and more TV viewing choices.

The one thing I can assure you is that things are progressing very nicely with the renovations and the properties that are completed look great. Everyone who has seened them have nothing but positive things to report.

Please keep watching this site for more details and also please continue to e-mail me your thoughts.

Board of Directors meeting

On 11/12/07 and 11/13/07 the Foxhunt Board of Directors will be arriving at Sapphire Valley for their annual fall BOD meeting. Therefore I thought that I would let the owners know some of the items to be discussed in case you have any comments or questions.

While I know that this is very short notice, I hope that you will respond to any concerns or thoughts that you have. In the future I promise, as long as I am President, to give you more advanced notice of future meetings and the agendas that will be discussed.

As for next weeks meeting some of the items to be discussed will be:

1) A discussion on the renovations and schedule of the next phase. We will also hear from our designer...Decorator's Den... who will give the board a progress update.
2) A presentation by our acounting firm to recap last years budget and expenses
3) A sales report from Sue Reid (our realtor) detailing the "association owned weeks" that have sold in the past 4 months. We will also discuss plans to accelerate the sales process so your association can generate income form these rather than have them be a drain on income.
4) A presentation from our cable company detailing a new package which will include wireless internet that, if approved, could be available so that owners can utilize their computers from the unit. Also, from what I understand the new system will also have an unlimited long distance feature. I am really excited to investigate this possibility.
5) Accounts receivable report
6) A discussion and implementation of reserve fund categories and the status of same.
7) A review of our insurance coverage to be certain we are adequately covered.
8) Presentations by MasterCorp..our housekeeping company.
9) Presentation of the reports that I have established that makes housekeeping and maintenance more accountable.

While this is only a portion of our agenda it is the meat anf potatoes of it.

Hope that you have enjoyed this update and will respond if you feel a need to do so. Just click on the comment link below this blog and respond.
